Into The Woods

Last weekend Andy and I went to see "Into the Woods" at the Duluth Playhouse. I saw the play years ago when I lived in Austin, TX in a park. The sun set right around the end of the first act and it was dark for the second act which was perfectly fitting of the play. It is a really fun play and they did a nice job here.

I've been really excited/impressed with the local theater scene here. "Cabaret" was playing last weekend also, and the Playhouse is showing "West Side Story" and "Romeo & Juliet" this and next weekend.
I bought these shoes at a thrift store in St Paul near Goodwill. I learned the store, called Second Debut II, is a part of Goodwill and they take the upscale donations and sell them at this other store. Funny.

McManis Pinot Noir

Another wine review! My favorite wine is a Pinot Noir, and I am excited for the huge selection of Pinot Noirs we have at Wine Cellars.
This is a 2009 California wine. The price for the bottle is $12.99.
Ratings A - F, A = best; F = worst
Smell the wine: A - berry smell
Taste the wine: A - smooth, delicate
Did you enjoy it: A!
Would I buy this again? Absa-friggin-lutely.
Comments: This is an amazing PN. Loved it. Very smooth and easy-drinking. Berry flavors with mild tannins. At this price, I will definitely have this in my wine rack at all times.

School's Out!

Andy had his last final on Wednesday and is enjoying the month of August off from the intensive schooling he's been experiencing in the past few months. I'm enjoying coming home to a clean apartment and home-cooked meals! Holler!!

Here's a fun picture I took of Andy "studying".

What-er-melon Juice?!?!

Andy made watermelon juice!! It was yum-city. And Andy was the mayor.
1. Slice watermelon. Preferably seedless (pulling out the seeds is a bi-atch and you'll lose a bit of juice).
2. Cut melon out of its rind. Place melon (minus rind) in a blender.
3. Pour into pitcher.
4. Enjoy in a tank top.

Or as Andy says: "Cut that shit, blend that shit, drink that shit". Sorry for the swearing :O
